Skin saver remedies: how to brew kombucha tea and kombucha cream

SKIN SAVER REMEDIES: HOW TO BREW KOMBUCHA TEA AND KOMBUCHA CREAM
Basic recipe: Ingredients: 2 litres water, 160 grams sugar, 6 grams tea, (2 tea bags), 1 Kombucha culture with brew.
Heat water until it boils, remove from stove and add tea. Stir sugar into the heated water until dissolved. Use either black or green tea, remove tea bags after 5 minutes. Cool tea until luke warm and pour into a glass or porcelain container. Add the Kombucha culture with the brew. Close the container with a clean cloth that allows air to breathe and fasten it with a rubber band. Place container in a warm place (ideal temperature between 23° and 28° C). After 8-10 days (depending on temperature) of fermentation, remove fungus and sieve beverage and fill into bottles. A new batch can be started with the new and/or the old culture as above.
Kombucha Cream: This process is very easy. The fungus, without the fluid, can be transformed in a few seconds into a cream using a conventional kitchen mixer, which makes it readily available, cheap and effective. Apply the cream, leave on for 20 minutes and lie down and rest. Then rinse off with warm water. At the same time the cream is acting as a moisturiser utilising large amounts of living yeast components. If one considers that the active ingredients in most of the expensive products are yeast's which have been preserved, one could assume that active and living yeast's should have even better success. Kombucha matches the skin's acidity, making it a beneficial beauty aid, to keep the skin looking fresh, youthful and glowing.
Caution before using the Kombucha as a cream do a test patch on the inside of your elbow, to see how your skin will react". (Extracted from the book Kombucha The Miracle Fungus by Harald Tietze).
